Staying hopeful for Snoopy's health
As the months passed by Snoopy sadly did not show any improvements with his health and evidently, he kept declining. During the day he presented to be at ease with some of his usual difficulties when walking and lacking appetite at times. However, the nights seemed to be long and it was when Snoopy struggled the most with his medical health. As mentioned in the previous blogs, he was not able to properly sleep and at this point he had multiple attacks during the night (his eyes would roll back, occasionally he would stop breathing, and had accidents all which occurred at the same time). His quality of life was decreasing. We addressed his medical concerns with his oncologist at Animal Specialty Center but was informed many times that the only thing that could be done was to continue providing him with medication in hopes that it would ease his symptoms. We proceeded with the medication but it was not helpful as his symptoms were rapidly increasing. As a family, we had hope and wanted to find anything that could have been helpful. We could not fathom the thought of not having Snoopy by our side, he was our first baby and taught us the definition of true love.
